Zia Engineering and Environmental Consultants, LLC is pursuing a contract at a major NASA testing facility in southern New Mexico. Positions include: Environmental Technicians, Environmental Scientists, Compliance Specialists, Environmental Engineers and Environmental Remediation Specialists.
For this effort, Zia will be hosting a job fair in Las Cruces at the Hotel Encanto at 705 S. Telshor on Thursday, August 12th from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

For the two positions above, candidates must have a BA/BS in engineering or physical sciences and minimum 10 years experience including prior experience in similar role and/or responsibility. Preference given to personnel with NASA or, DOD experience; to higher degrees; and to personnel experienced in working with and managing union personnel. Positions will report to Zia Program Manager as part of contract management team.
Zia Engineering and Environmental Consultants, LLC is seeking the following positions for a Hazardous Material/Waste Contract at Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico. Positions required are: On-Site Contract Management, Waste Management Technicians, IT Specialist preferably familiar with AF-EMIS. All personnel except the IT specialist msut be properly and currently trained, qualified, and/or certified technicians who meet the State of New Mexico Hazardous Material and Waste Operation certification.

Zia Engineering and Environmental Consultants, LLC is seeking multiple energetic entry to mid level Civil or Environmental Engineers/Scientists with 0-6 years of experience in support of challenging environmental activities in our Yuma Proving Ground or White Sands Missile Range, NM offices. The position offers the opportunity to work in multiple environmental fields and provide significant environmental experience in a short time with an opportunity for long term employment. The position will require ability to take direction from government personnel and senior Zia engineers and scientists in the implementation of regulatory programs, remedial investigations, remediation efforts or implementation of other environmental regulation compliance programs.
Applicant must have a minimum of bachelor degree in an environmental science or engineering. Demonstration of requisite skills (especially technical writing), good work performance, in an environmental science related field are required. Higher level of education may be substituted for experience. The position requires a willingness to be involved with development and implementation of investigatory and remediation efforts, development and production of environmental compliance documentation and support of required environmental compliance activities. Candidates shall be available for extended work days (up to 10-12 hours on an infrequent basis), for multiple days/weeks based on Zia's needs, must have successfully completed or be able to complete the 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations (HAZWOPER) training and must be in good physical condition (able to lift at least 50 lbs.), pass a physical examination, be in possession of a valid driver's license and a US citizen. The successful candidate may be required to acquire a security clearance up to and including secret.
