Zia Engineering & Environmental Consultants, LLC., was established on March 24, 2000 by the company’s President and CEO, Edward Martinez. The company has steadily expanded its capabilities and staff since its inception, growing from a staff of four at the end of its first year to its present staff of nearly 100 employees in offices throughout the country.

Zia has a long list of clients, ranging from relatively small, private, industrial, local and state agencies to large multi-year federal contracts such as its environmental and facilities support contract at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico.

The company continues to garner regional and national recognition. Most recently, Zia was recognized by Hispanic Business Magazine as the 31st fastest-growing, Hispanic-owned company in the nation. The publication also placed Zia on its list of the Top 500 Hispanic Businesses in the United States. Further national accolades include Inc. Magazine putting Zia on its Inc. 5000 list, an annual ranking of the 5,000 fastest-growing private U.S. companies. The company was ranked No. 1,143 and was the only company in southern New Mexico to make the list.
