POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Southwest Range Services LLC (SRS) is looking for a software developer, entry to mid-level (3 to 5+ years of experience), to help our team integrate next generation mobile optical Test and Evaluation (T&E) platforms into the White Sands Test Center (WSTC) command and control infrastructure. The multispectral data collection and instrumentation payload of these systems includes high-speed (several thousand frames per second) visible, infrared and high dynamic range camera systems coupled with new telescopes (reflector, refractor and catadioptric) that will significantly enhance the test center’s ability to capture phenomenology. This advanced instrumentation payload is mounted on a high-performance gimbal system capable of high angular accelerations and velocities to enable tracking of increasingly dynamic test articles and generate high fidelity Time-Space-Position-Information. Job duties will consist of developing software in a fast-paced group environment utilizing C++. User interface design, network communications, multi-threaded application development, and hardware control are some of the areas of concentration. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and enjoy the challenge of developing and testing software for the command and control of hardware and instrumentation. Field testing often requires operating and troubleshooting systems in the challenging, remote desert environments. |
